Sree Sreekrishna Engineering Works

If you head down to Ichapur in the Sastibagan area of Santragachi, you’ll find us. Sree Sreekrishna Engineering Works is a local shop, through and through. We’ve been operating in this neighborhood for a long time, and most of the people around here know us by name. It’s not a sterile environment; it’s a workshop where there’s always something being welded, grinded, or fixed. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there's a permanent smell of grease in the air, which is exactly how a real engineering place should be. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just open up in the morning, check what jobs are waiting, and get to it. Sometimes we sit outside for a minute when the shop gets too stuffy, watching the neighbors go by. Some of the equipment we use is older than the younger guys working here, but it still runs perfectly because we take care of it ourselves. People bring us things to fix because they know we won’t overcharge or use big words to confuse them. We just tell them if it can be done or not. The lanes around Santragachi can get pretty crowded, especially when we’re trying to move finished pieces out, but we make it work. It’s a modest way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We’re just local folks doing engineering work for others.
