Sree Durga Fibre Products is tucked away on Kashi Nath Mullick Lane. We are on the first floor of 13/C. It is a narrow lane, like many of the streets in this part of town. We work with fibre products every single day. The office usually smells a bit like the materials we are using, which is something you get used to after a while. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the items before they are packed up to go out. It is a lot of manual checking and sorting. Being on the first floor means we are constantly carrying things up and down the stairs, which keeps us moving. We have a small team here and we all know our roles. We have been making these products for a long time now. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do and it keeps us busy. The lane outside is always full of people, bikes, and small carts passing by. Sometimes it is hard for the bigger delivery trucks to get close to the door. We just make it work one way or another. Most of our day is spent at the workbenches or talking on the phone with various clients. It is a steady rhythm to the day. We don't have a big fancy lobby with chairs, just a workspace where the actual work happens. People drop by occasionally to talk about specific orders.
