S.R.Construction Company

We've been at the B.K. Road office for a while now. It’s on the first floor in Flat 2. Mostly we just get on with the job of building things around Kolkata. It’s a lot of work dealing with materials and getting people on site every morning. Sometimes it’s raining hard or the traffic is a mess, but that is just how things go here. My family started this a long time back and we just stuck with it. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some desks and blueprints spread out everywhere. People come by to talk about their houses or small projects they need finished. We try to keep things moving. Most days are spent on the phone or out at the sites. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of workers. It is just a few of us making sure the walls are straight and the cement is mixed right. If you know the 700-023 area, you probably know our street. It gets busy in the afternoons. We handle the paperwork and the labor, which is never as easy as it looks on paper. There are always delays with supplies or something breaks down. We just fix it and keep going. That is how we have always done it. Not much to it really. We stay busy enough with the local work that comes our way. Sometimes the office gets crowded with samples of bricks and tiles. It is a bit messy but we know where everything is.
