Our place is at 4, Princep Street in Kolkata. Soni Rubber Products Ltd has been operating out of here for a good long time. If you know this part of the city, you know how Princep Street gets. It’s narrow, loud, and full of all kinds of shops and people. Our building is one of the older ones. It’s not anything special to look at, just a regular brick and concrete structure. Inside, it’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day stuff. We have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of rubber products stacked up in the corners. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a workspace. We don’t really go in for big decorations or expensive furniture. We just need a place to do our work and this spot on Princep Street works just fine. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we have a bit of a routine going. We have our tea together in the afternoon while the city noise carries on outside. It gets a bit dusty with the windows open, but we like the fresh air when it’s not too hot. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. We are just a local business in an old part of Kolkata, doing what we’ve always done. It’s a simple life and a simple office, but it’s ours.
