Soni Leathers

Soni Leathers is located at 297/F on A.P.C Road, which is one of the busiest stretches you will find. If you know the area, you know it is full of shops and constant movement. Our place isn't huge, but it is packed with rolls of leather and the tools we use for our trade. The smell of tanned hides is the first thing you notice when you walk in, and after a few years, you don't even think about it anymore. A.P.C Road is always noisy with buses and cars honking, but we have gotten used to the rhythm of the street. Our shopfront is simple, with just enough space to show what we have and a small area in the back where the real work happens. We spend our days measuring out pieces, checking the quality of the skins, and dealing with the people who drop by. It is a very hands-on kind of job. There is no air conditioning or plush carpets here; it is just a hard floor and sturdy tables. We have been here long enough that the local tea sellers know exactly how we like our brew. Most of our regulars are other tradespeople from around the neighborhood. We do not bother with big advertisements because our work usually speaks for itself to anyone who knows leather. It is just a regular local business, trying to do things right on a busy Kolkata street, one day at a time.
