Design And Decor is a small shop based in the Sahebpara area of Sonarpur. It’s not a massive showroom like you might see in the middle of a big city, but we have enough here to show people what we can do. We mostly help folks who want to change the look of their homes without spending a fortune. We have samples of curtains, some paint chips, and different types of wood finishes scattered around. Most of the time, the place looks a bit messy because we are in the middle of a project. My family has lived in Sonarpur for a long time, so we know a lot of the people who walk through the door. We don't use any fancy software to show designs. Usually, we just sketch things out on a piece of paper and talk it through over some tea. It feels more natural that way. Whether it’s fixing up a kitchen or just picking out a new color for a bedroom wall, we take it one step at a time. The local workers we hire are good with their hands and they don't rush the job. We aren't looking to win any awards. We just want the houses in Sahebpara to look a bit nicer for the families living in them. It’s a quiet life and the work keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
