Our office is over in the Krishna Building on AJC Bose Road, specifically in Suite 1016. It’s a well-known part of town, and the building itself has been there for a long time. Being on the tenth floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the traffic on the road below. Sinosteel India has a small team here in this suite. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. We don’t really have a big fancy reception area. If someone visits, they usually just walk in and we find a chair for them. The building can be a bit drafty in the winter, and the elevators are sometimes a bit slow, but we don’t mind. We spend most of our time on the phone or working through documents related to the steel trade. It’s practical work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We aren't interested in sounding like a big polished corporation. We’re just a group of people doing our jobs in a busy part of Kolkata. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to catch up on, and other days we manage to get out right on time. There’s a tea stall nearby that we visit when we need a break from the screens. It’s a simple, functional office that suits what we do perfectly. No one here is trying to impress anyone with big words or a flashy image.
