We have been based at North Cabin Road in Baruipur for a good while now. It is a busy little corner of the Kolkata-144 area, especially with the trains passing by quite often. Our office is not anything fancy or modern. It is just a practical space where we handle the day-to-day tasks. Most mornings start with a bit of a rush as everyone settles into their desks. The road right outside can get quite dusty in the summer and a bit messy when the monsoon rains hit, but we just deal with it. Inside, the rooms are filled with stacks of files and maps that have been there for years. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans on high. We are not trying to impress anyone with big signs or corporate branding. Local people know where we are if they need to drop something off or have a chat about a project. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out. It is a very down-to-earth setup. We mostly focus on the local logistics and making sure the schedules are met. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we go to stretch our legs. We stay busy with the work at hand and try to keep things as organized as we can. It is a noisy place sometimes, but it is where we get our work done.
