Our Kolkata presence extends to the Neva Park area, at HIG-J-2 in Brahampur Badamtalla. It is a bit of a distance from the main city center, which gives it a different feel compared to our other offices. The area is quite residential and has a lot of green patches around it. Simplex Infrastructures Ltd set up this office to handle the specific needs of projects in this part of West Bengal. The building is a standard HIG house, and we have turned the ground floor into a workspace. There is usually a lot of coming and going of site vehicles nearby. Inside, the walls are covered with charts and maps of the local infrastructure. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the construction activity in the region, but that is just part of the job. We have a few computers and a very busy printer that seems to be running all day long. The staff here are used to the quiet surroundings of Brahampur, but the work itself is very fast-paced. We don't have a lot of visitors, so when someone does stop by, it is usually a big event. We keep a stash of biscuits and tea for anyone who drops in. It is an honest, hardworking office where we don't worry about being fancy. We just focus on the engineering and the paperwork that comes with it.
