We are based at 12A, Avenue 1st Road, right in the Santoshpur area of Kolkata. Being here in the 700075 zip code puts us in a nice spot of the city. Simplex Infrastructures Ltd is what we go by, and we handle the kind of building work that most people wouldn't want to do themselves. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and making sure things are built to last. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit down to figure out schedules and talk to the guys on the construction sites. We have a lot of history in this city and we’ve worked on quite a few things you might see while driving around. It’s not always easy work. Sometimes the supplies don't show up on time or there’s a problem with the ground we’re building on, but we just figure it out. That is how it goes in this line of work. We have a small group here that looks after the local operations and we try to stay busy year-round. You get used to the noise of the city and the constant movement. We just focus on the next pile of bricks or the next span of a bridge. It’s practical work for practical people. We don't spend much time on fancy talk, we just get to the site and start working.
