Simplex Infrastructures Limited

We’ve been here at 20B, Prince Golam Mohammed Road for a while now. This part of Kolkata always feels busy, especially with the 2nd floor office overlooking the street. Most of us here at Simplex Infrastructures Limited spend our days looking at drawings or talking on the phone with site engineers. It isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the tea guy comes late, and sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we manage. People know us in this neighborhood. We deal with big projects, but the office itself feels quite small and personal. There are piles of files on the desks and a few old chairs that probably need replacing. We don't really do much talking about big visions; we just show up and handle the paperwork for whatever bridge or building is being worked on at the moment. It gets humid in the summers, so the fans are always running. We like being centrally located because it makes getting to the different sites easier for everyone. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we go when the office gets too quiet. It’s just us, working through the daily tasks that keep the bigger machine moving. Nothing too complicated or flashy about it, really. Just a group of people doing their jobs in a corner of Kolkata that feels like home.
