Down at 19A, Chetla Hat Road, things are always moving. This is where Simplex Infrastructures Limited handles stuff for the Kolkata-27 area. The market nearby makes it a lively place to work. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a ground-floor space filled with computers, printers, and a whole lot of paper. We do the heavy work—roads, bridges, big buildings. The kind of stuff people use every day but don't think about much. Most of the time, the office is a bit of a mess because we’re constantly bringing in samples or site reports. We don't have a fancy dress code. Most of us wear what's comfortable for going out to a dusty site at a moment’s notice. It’s a practical way of living. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and they know us as the construction folks. Sometimes we have to stay late to coordinate with the night shifts on the big concrete pours. It’s not always easy, and the equipment breaks down or the supplies get delayed, but we just deal with it as it comes. There’s no point in pretending everything is perfect. We just do our best to keep the projects moving forward. It’s a lot of hard work and not much sleep during the busy months. But we're still here, doing what we do, year after year. We just focus on the job and getting things done right.
