We are Sidhant Leather Exports Pvt Ltd, based out of S-18 in Phase III of the Kasba Industrial Estate. Being located in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of noise from machinery and trucks moving in and out of the gates. It is not exactly the prettiest area of the city, but it is where the real work gets done. Our unit is mostly focused on producing leather goods that are meant for export. Inside the building, you will find stacks of raw leather, various cutting tools, and people busy at their workbenches. We do not have a fancy showroom for visitors. Everything here is about the production process and making sure the quality is decent before the items get packed into crates. The heat in the industrial estate can be quite intense during the summer months, but we just keep the ceiling fans going and stay busy with our tasks. We have been in Kasba for a long stretch of time. Most of the people working here live in the nearby colonies, so it feels like a local group. We deal with a lot of shipping logistics and transport schedules. It is messy work sometimes, with scraps of leather on the floor and the strong smell of dyes in the air. We do not try to make the place look like a corporate office. It is just a factory space where we show up and get the job done.
