About Sideing Superviser – Metals & Minerals in Kolkata
This isn’t a big company with a lobby and a receptionist. It’s mostly just Vikas Kumar and the family here at Railway Quarter number 166 in Kharkhura. Since it’s a railway area in Gaya, it’s got a specific feel to it that we like. My father, Mr. B. Ram, worked with the railways too, so we have been here a long time. We’ve lived in Bihar all our lives. The work is mostly about supervising what’s happening on the tracks or the sidings. It’s a lot of being outdoors and making sure things are moving where they should be. It’s not a glamorous job. You get dusty, you stay out in the sun for hours, and you deal with a lot of different people every day. The address is just where we live and keep our things organized. Sometimes people come by to talk about work, and we sit on the porch to discuss the day. Gaya is a place with a lot of history, but for us, it’s just the place where we work and try to make a living. We don’t have a website or a logo. It’s just about being there on time and making sure the siding work is done right. Some days are long, especially when the trains are delayed or there’s a problem with the line. But we’ve been doing this for a while, and we know the rhythms of the place. It’s just regular life for us, doing the work that needs to be done.
