Shyam Sel Ltd

Over in Belghoria at 73/2 B.C. Chatterjee Street is where you will find Shyam Sel Ltd. This part of Kolkata-56 is always humming with noise and people. Our building is an old one and it has seen a lot of years go by. We work on the steel and iron side of things from this office. The space is filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fans. We don't have a modern interior with fancy lights or expensive furniture. It’s just wooden desks and metal cupboards full of files. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the noise from the street anymore. The stairs are a bit narrow and you have to watch your step when you come up to see us. We spend our days talking to contractors and checking the production schedules on the boards. It is a lot of practical work and not much else. We don't put on any airs or try to sound like a big corporation. We are just a local business doing our part in the industry every day. Sometimes we have tea brought in and sit around talking about the day’s work or what happened in the neighborhood. It’s an honest way to make a living and we have a good group of people here.
