Shyam Dri Power Ltd.

Shyam Dri Power Ltd. is located in the Viswakarma building on Topsia Road. We are up on the first floor, at 86C. The area is always buzzing with people and vehicles, and being on the first floor means we get a good view of the street chaos below. It’s a typical Kolkata scene out there. Our office isn’t huge, but it fits everyone and all the gear we need for the power business. We have some heavy metal cupboards for the files and a few rows of desks that have been rearranged a dozen times. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a blessing in the humidity here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It is more about the steady work than anything flashy. You might hear the sound of horns honking from Topsia Road all through the day, but you get used to it after a week. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. The building itself is an older one, with those heavy doors and thick walls. It feels solid. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most people who come here already know where we are. It’s just a group of us trying to keep things running smoothly without making too much of a fuss about it every day.
