We’re based in Kolkata, over at Flat No 1-C near the China Mandir. The address is 1000 Jessore Road, in the Naskar Bagan area. It’s a pretty busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of noise from the cars and buses passing by. Our office is inside a building that’s seen a lot of years. It’s not one of those new glass towers you see in other parts of the city. We have a few rooms where we keep all our files and technical drawings. Being near the temple makes it easy for people to find us. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the locals know who we are. The office gets a bit humid during the monsoon, but we just keep the fans going. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big marketing team. It’s just us working on infrastructure stuff. Sometimes the tea boy from around the corner brings us snacks while we go over the day's schedule. It’s a very grounded way of working. We deal with lots of different people from all over the city. Every day is a bit different, but the work stays the same. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our desks. It is not always perfect, but we manage to keep things moving along steadily.
