Shri Ram Oil Company

Shri Ram Oil Company is situated at No. 229 Maha Rishi Debendra Road. It’s an old part of the city and the road can be quite narrow which makes it a bit of a challenge for the oil trucks to get in and out. We spend our days dealing with various types of oils and barrels. The smell of oil is something you just get used to after working here for a few days but visitors always notice it right away. Our office is a small room at the front of the building where we keep all the receipts and delivery notes. It is a lot of physical labor moving the containers around and making sure everything is sealed up tight so nothing leaks. The building has high ceilings and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the street outside. We have a few guys who handle the heavy lifting and another couple of us who take care of the orders. It is a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We’ve been on Maha Rishi Debendra Road for a long time now and we have seen the area change quite a bit though our daily routine stays mostly the same. We just focus on getting the oil to where it needs to go and making sure the counts are right at the end of the day. It’s hard work but it is honest and it keeps us all moving.
