Shoora Trading operates out of Room No-8 on the ground floor at 16- Prafulla Nagar. Being on the ground floor is convenient because we don't have to deal with stairs or a slow elevator every time we need to step out. Kolkata can be quite intense, and Prafulla Nagar has its own rhythm that we’ve become part of over time. The room isn't very big, so we have to stay organized, or things get cluttered fast. We deal with trading matters all day, mostly through the computer and some old-fashioned ledger work. It’s a 700074 address that we’ve grown quite fond of. The air in the room can get a bit still, so we usually have the door open to catch a breeze from the street. You won't find any corporate buzzwords here. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one near the door so people know they’re in the right place. It’s a modest way to run Shoora Trading, and it suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and work through the list of things to do every day without much fuss. The nearby market keeps us supplied with snacks and tea, and we just keep the business moving.
