Shift Telecom

Shift Telecom is just a small place on the ground floor over here on Dhakuria Station Road. If you know where Suresh Sweets is, we are right next to it. It gets pretty loud with the trains passing by and the people rushing to work every morning. We started this because we needed something to do and we knew a bit about phones and connections. Most days it is just us sitting behind the counter handling whatever comes in. Sometimes it is a broken screen and other times someone just can't get their sim card to work right. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms. It is just a couple of us trying to keep things running. The shop is a bit small and the lighting isn't the best, but we have all the tools we need back there. We spend a lot of time drinking tea from the stall nearby while we wait for parts to arrive. It is not always easy getting the right supplies on time but we manage. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat even when they don't need anything fixed. That's just how it is in Dhakuria. We keep the doors open until late most nights because that's when people are coming back from the station. There is nothing special about the way we work, we just take one job at a time and try to get it done without too much fuss.
