We’ve been here at Kamala Housing for a good while now. Konnagar is a quiet enough place in West Bengal, and that is just how we like it. Most days it is just the sound of work going on and the usual chatter from the street outside. Shapoorji Pallonji Group Company( S.P Fabricators(P) Ltd. is technically part of the larger group, but here on the ground, it feels much smaller and more personal. We deal with whatever comes across the desk each morning. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place to sit and get through the paperwork while the daily work keeps moving. Sometimes the humidity in Bengal really gets to you, so we keep the fans going at full speed. It is funny how you get used to the rhythm of a place like this. People walk by, neighbors say hello, and we just keep at our tasks. We don’t really do big speeches or put fancy posters on the walls. It is more about making sure the logs are right and the materials are where they need to be. If you ever find yourself in this part of West Bengal, you will see the Kamala Housing sign eventually. It isn't a huge landmark, but it is where we spend our hours. We don’t worry much about being the most polished outfit around. We just want to finish what we started and go home at the end of the day. That is the reality of it.
