Shapoorji Pallonji Co Ltd

Up in Agarpara, you’ll find us at Simlanagar in the 24 Parganas (North) area of Kolkata. It’s a bit of a way out from the city center, which actually suits us just fine. Shapoorji Pallonji Co Ltd has been part of this landscape for a good bit. The office isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular building among others, but inside it’s where all the coordination happens. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, and the fans are always spinning to keep the humidity at bay. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we’re used to it. Most of the people working here are from around the local area. We know the shortcuts to avoid the train crossings when we need to get somewhere fast. There isn’t any corporate polish here. We use old wooden desks and we still write a lot of things down by hand in ledgers. It feels more reliable that way. We aren’t trying to win any awards for how our office looks; we just want to make sure the projects stay on track. There’s a lot of shouting across the room when things get busy, but it’s all in good spirit. We just want to get through the day’s tasks and make sure everything is sorted for tomorrow. It’s a simple life, and we are quite content with the way things run around here.
