The office itself is one of those typical Kolkata buildings, with the high ceilings and that old-school feel you can't really find in newer cities. It’s not a shiny glass tower or anything like that. We have our desks set up where we handle the day-to-day stuff, mostly keeping track of materials and making sure the guys on the sites have what they need. Rain can be a real pain here on Amherst Street during the monsoon, sometimes the road gets messy, but we still make it in. It’s a tight-knit group working here. We usually just stick to the work and don't worry much about looking fancy for visitors. There’s always a kettle going for tea, and usually, someone is arguing about a delivery delay or a blueprint change. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here at the same address, doing the same kind of steady work. It’s just how we operate in this part of town.
