Shanker Logistics Pvt Ltd is based at 10/4, Botanical Garden Lane, near the B. Garden Post Office in the Shibpur area of Howrah. Being so close to the Botanical Garden is nice although we spend most of our time inside the office. Shibpur is a historic part of Howrah and it has a very specific feel to it. We handle logistics and transport which is a lot of hard work. Our office is located on a lane that can get pretty congested with vehicles. We spend our days coordinating with drivers and making sure the cargo is loaded correctly. It is a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We have been here for a long time so we know the local area very well. The building we are in is not new but it works for us. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of paper everywhere. Howrah is a place where people work hard and we are no different. We do not use any fancy marketing talk. We just tell it like it is. If a shipment is going to be late we say so. We just try to be honest and get the job done. It is a simple business at the end of the day. We are just another part of the Shibpur community, trying to keep the wheels turning on the roads and the goods moving to their destinations.
