Sgm Constructions

We set up Sgm Constructions over at 29 Mahesh Dutta Lane in the Chetla area of Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city with narrow streets and a lot of character. Our office is tucked away there, and it’s where we spend most of our time when we aren’t out at a site. Kolkata-700027 is a busy postal code, and there is always noise and movement around us. We don't have a big glass storefront. It’s just a regular door on a regular street. Inside, it’s mostly just us looking at drawings or talking on the phone with suppliers. We’ve been doing this for a while, and Chetla is where we feel comfortable. The locals know us as the guys who are always coming and going with boots on. We don’t have a fancy website or a PR team. If someone wants to find Sgm Constructions, they usually just ask around the lane or look for the number 29. Construction can be a messy business, and our office often reflects that with dust and samples lying around. We don’t mind. It shows we’re working. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the schedule. It isn't always easy with the traffic in Kolkata, but we get it done. We’re just a local outfit trying to build things properly.
