You can find us at 71 S.N.Roy Road. It’s an old building, but it works fine for what we do. We deal with electronic parts and some repairs when we have the time. The front room has a long wooden counter and behind it are hundreds of those small plastic drawers filled with capacitors, resistors, and all sorts of bits. It smells a bit like solder and old dust in here. My uncle opened this place a long time ago and I took over after I finished school. It’s quiet mostly, until someone comes in looking for a specific part for an old radio or a circuit board they’re trying to fix at home. I spend a lot of time under a magnifying lamp with a soldering iron. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but I like the quiet of the work. S.N.Roy Road gets pretty busy with the rickshaws and people walking by to the market. We don't really advertise. Most people just know we’re here because we’ve been here for years. If we don’t have a part, I usually know who else in the city might have it, so I tell them where to go. It’s a small community of us doing this kind of work. We keep the shop open until seven, unless I have to leave early for something at home. It’s a simple life.
