Our office for Sembcorp Logistics (I) Pvt.Ltd. is located at 19A Nand Lal Mitra Lane in Kudghat. This is part of the Tallygunge area in Kolkata. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know it has a very specific feel. The lanes are narrow and there is a lot of local life right on the doorstep. We aren't in a big high-rise building. We are part of the neighborhood. The office is where we handle all the logistics coordination for this region. It’s a lot of phone calls and ledger work. We have a few desks and some old chairs, and that’s about it. We don't feel the need for a corporate image. Tallygunge is a place with a lot of history, and we like being tucked away in Kudghat. It’s quieter than the main city center but still busy enough with local trade. We spend our days making sure that whatever needs to be moved is getting where it needs to go. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes things difficult, especially in these narrow lanes, but we find a way to keep things on track. We are just a group of people who know how to navigate the logistics of Kolkata. It isn't always easy, and it certainly isn't fancy, but it is our daily life. We focus on the practical side of things and try to keep our paperwork in order without making a big fuss about it.
