Our office is over at 58 Lotus Park in Kolkata. It is a decent enough spot to work from, even if it is not right in the middle of the busiest commercial districts. We use this place as our hub for managing infrastructure projects in the region. The building is just a normal structure, nothing that would stand out to a passerby. Inside, things are pretty simple and functional. We have our planning area and a few desks for the administration work. Most of the real action happens out at the project sites, so this office is where we handle the paperwork and the phone calls. Kolkata has its own pace, and we have adapted to it over the years. We are not interested in the corporate lifestyle with all the fancy suits and long presentations. We are more comfortable talking about materials and timelines. Sometimes the office feels a bit cramped when the whole team is in for a meeting, but we make it work. There is a small tea shop nearby where we usually go when we need a break from the drawings. It is just an honest, working office for the people at Sembawang Infrastructure (I) Pvt. Ltd. We do not have a big marketing department, so we just rely on the work we do. It is a practical setup and we have been here for a good while now, just doing our daily tasks.
