Our shop is tucked away on 11, Pollock Street, right near Ezra Street. If you know that area, you know it's crowded and full of old buildings. We deal with alloy wires mostly. It’s a small place, nothing too big or modern. We've got reels and spools stacked up wherever they fit. Most of our days are spent dealing with orders and talking to people who come in looking for specific types of wire. It gets loud out there with all the carts and people moving through the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or work by the door where the light is better. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything is measured out right. It’s been this way for a long time. People come to us because they know where we are, not because of some big advertisement. We use an old desk that’s seen better days, and the phone rings more than we’d like. It’s a honest day’s work in a part of the city that never really stops moving. No need for anything complicated when you're just selling wire. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves and try to keep the place organized. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks. We don’t have any big titles here, we all just pitch in where it is needed most. If a customer needs a specific gauge of wire, we find it, even if we have to dig through the back. That is just how we do things on Pollock Street.
