Scandia Belting Co.

Scandia Belting Co. is located up on the third floor at 10 Middleton Row. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the building has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit much on some days. Being on the third floor keeps us a little bit away from the street noise, but you can still hear the city going on outside. We mostly deal with industrial belts and related parts. It’s not the most exciting stuff to some people, but it’s what we know. Most of our day is spent checking through the inventory and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. We have all sorts of belts stacked up in the back, and sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze in there. The office is pretty small, just enough room for a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We don't really have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us handling the phone calls and the paperwork. Sometimes the phone doesn’t stop ringing, and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get through the bookkeeping. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we just keep doing our thing. Anyway, we aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the people who need belts can get them without too much trouble. It’s straightforward work, and it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
