Sarkar Medicine

Sarkar Medicine is located at 79 R N Avenue in Kolkata, right near the Rathindra Cinema Hall. If you know the cinema, you can’t miss us. It’s a very busy part of town, always full of people walking by or catching a movie. The street is constantly buzzing with activity, from the tea sellers to the rickshaws passing through. Our shop isn’t very large, but we pack a lot into it. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, full of different medicines. It’s an old building, like many on R N Avenue, so it has that classic Kolkata feel. We’ve been here for years, and we know most of the people who live in the neighborhood. They stop by not just for medicine but sometimes just to say hello. It can get a bit chaotic when there’s a crowd, but we’re used to it. The smell of the city, the noise from the cinema, and the humid weather are all just part of our daily life. We don’t have air conditioning that works all the time, so we keep the doors open. There’s always a ledger on the counter and someone writing something down. It’s a straightforward business. We just try to keep the stock full so nobody has to go elsewhere. Working here in Kolkata near Rathindra is never boring, that’s for sure. We just keep at it, day after day, in our little corner.
