We’re located in Room 402 on the 4th floor of Commercial Point. The building is at 79 Lenin Sarani in Dharmatala. If you know Kolkata, you know this is a very busy, historical part of the city. We’ve been here at Saraswati Compressor Spares Pvt Ltd for many years. Our shelves are full of all kinds of spare parts for compressors. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the old papers and metal parts, but we know where everything is. People come to us from all over the city when they can’t find a specific part anywhere else. We don’t have a big, shiny showroom. It’s just an old-fashioned office where we do business the way it’s always been done. We sit around, have some chai, and talk through whatever part someone is looking for. Sometimes we have to dig through the back to find something rare, but that’s the fun of it. The 4th floor can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens from time to time. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with corporate talk. We just know our compressors and we know our spares. It’s a steady business and we’ve built a lot of relationships over the years. We like being in Dharmatala; it feels like the heart of the trade here. Every day brings something different, whether it's a new customer or an old friend stopping by.
