SANKAR ENGINEERING WORKS

We have been at 40 Strand Road for a long time now. If you climb up to the first floor and look for room 30A, that is where you will find us. This part of Kolkata is always busy and crowded, but we have gotten used to the noise and the constant movement over the years. We handle engineering work here. Most days involve a lot of looking at technical drawings and talking to people about metal parts and how different components fit together. It is a bit dusty sometimes, but it is our space. We do not have a fancy lobby or any of those modern glass walls. It is just some old desks, tools, and us working through the orders that come in. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they have been coming to this building for a decade. It is a very straightforward setup. We do not spend much time on the computer unless it is for the very basics. Most of our day is spent making sure the jobs are done right and the measurements are exactly what they need to be. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that is our main break for the afternoon. It is an old-school workshop in an old building where we just get things done. If you are looking for us, the stairs are a bit narrow, so just watch your step when you come up. We try to keep things organized, but there are often papers and parts everywhere.
