Sanat Saha & Co.

Sanat Saha & Co. has its place at 79A, Maniktala Main Road. It’s an old building, and we’ve been here longer than I can remember. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of dust and noise, but you get used to it after a few years. We handle all the daily operations right from the front desk. The space is a bit cramped with all the files and ledgers, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, the morning starts with tea and a look at the schedule. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together for ages. Customers come in throughout the day, mostly locals who know us by name. The traffic outside can be a headache, especially during the festival seasons, but we stay inside and get through the work. It’s a plain office with wooden chairs and a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound. We don't use much technology besides the basics. Dealing with people face-to-face is how we prefer to do things. It feels more real that way. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window, so we have to move the papers. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the accounts are right and everyone is happy. It’s a modest way to make a living, and we’re alright with that. We just do our work and go home.
