Sahyadri Industries Ltd. has a branch over in Kolkata, specifically at 60/1A Maharaja Tagore Road in Dhakuria. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve managed to carve out our space there. Working in West Bengal has its own rhythm. We are not a huge corporate office with glass walls. It’s a more grounded setup. We handle industrial-related business, which involves a lot of coordination and moving things around. The streets can be narrow and crowded, which makes deliveries a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We have a small staff here. We aren't really into the whole corporate culture thing. We just come in, have our coffee, and get to work. Most of our days are spent checking inventory or talking to suppliers. It’s practical work. We don't have a list of fancy values pinned to the wall. We just try to be decent and get the tasks finished. Maharaja Tagore Road is a busy place, and we’ve become a small part of the local scenery. Sometimes the monsoon rains slow us down, but we just keep going. It’s about being consistent. People in Dhakuria know where we are if they need to drop off papers or check on a project. We keep things simple because that is what works for us in the long run. No need to complicate things with big words. We just do our bit and go home.
