Saha & Ray Advocates

We've been here at 7 Deb Narayan Das Lane for a while now. Shyambazar is a busy spot, and our office is right in the middle of it. It’s an old building, but it works for what we do. People come in with all sorts of legal problems, and we just try to sort them out as best as we can. Mostly, it's just a lot of paperwork and meeting folks to discuss their cases. Saha and Ray usually handle the bulk of the talking. Sometimes the tea runs out before the work does, but that's just how it goes here in Kolkata. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. Just some desks, chairs, and lots of files everywhere. It’s a bit cramped when it gets busy, but we manage. My colleagues and I have been working together for years, so we have a routine down. If you walk down the lane, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep regular hours, though sometimes things run late if a client needs to talk. It's a straightforward place. We aren't looking to be the biggest office in town, just to keep doing the work day by day. There's always something new coming through the door, which keeps things interesting, I suppose. The neighborhood is noisy, but you get used to the sounds of the street while you're reading through documents. It’s just us doing our jobs in this corner of the city. We keep the fans on high and keep at it.
