Safety Officer

Our office is located at 56 A. T. Ghosh Road in Gauripure. It's an old part of the 24 Parganas district, and things move a bit slower here compared to the big city. Being near Garifa post office means we get our mail on time mostly. The building is an older one, but it works for what we need as safety officers. Most of the time, I'm out at different sites, but this is where the planning happens. West Bengal has its own rhythm, and we try to stick to it. The road outside can get noisy when the local markets are open. I’ve spent many hours at this desk looking over safety protocols and making sure we haven't missed a detail. It isn't a corporate setup with glass walls; it’s just a room with some filing cabinets and a couple of chairs. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just take a break and wait for it to come back. Dealing with industrial safety in this part of the country requires knowing the local ways. We have some tea, talk about the day's tasks, and then get back to work. It’s a practical way to run things. The neighbors are mostly families, so we keep things quiet and professional. Just a small operation running out of a humble spot on A.T. Ghosh Road, trying to get the job done properly every single day. That's all there is to it. We don't need anything more complicated than a desk and a good roof.
