Sa Jwellers

Our little shop is in the village of Domjur, out in the Howrah district. It's a quiet area compared to the city, but we still get plenty of folks stopping in. We work mostly with gold and silver, making things by hand the old way. There isn't a lot of fancy equipment here, just our benches and some basic tools we've used for years. The shop is small, and sometimes it gets a bit crowded if more than two people come in at once. We spend our days sitting and working on small details. It's slow work, but that's just how jewelry is. We know most of our neighbors, and they know where to find us if they need a ring resized or a chain fixed. We don't really have any big plans to expand or anything; we like it just the way it is. The village life is good, and we get to take our time with the pieces we make. Sometimes we just sit and have tea while waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a simple business, really. We don't do any advertising, we just rely on people telling their friends about us. It's been working out okay for a long time now. We just focus on the work and try to keep things moving along at a steady pace.
