Our place is situated in Khiddirpore, specifically at the CPT quarters in the Eastyard area. It is a very busy and loud part of Kolkata. If you are familiar with the docks, you probably know the neighborhood well. It is always full of heavy trucks and that specific smell of the river. We operate out of E/4. It is not a big office at all, just a small setup to handle our daily tasks. We deal with whatever work comes our way around the port area. It is mostly logistics or small supplies, the kind of things that keep the local trade moving along. We have been here for a long time now. The building itself is quite old, just like most things in this part of town. We don’t have a website or anyone to do marketing for us. It is just us. We talk to people face to face and that is how we do business. If there is a problem with a shipment, we just fix it. Sometimes the rain floods the streets and everything slows down for a day or two. That is just life in Kolkata. We have got a few desks and some old metal files. It is nothing special to look at. But we know every single corner of Khiddirpore. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade or port work. We keep things simple and avoid the corporate talk because it doesn't fit the work we do.
