S K Samanta & Co Pvt Ltd is located in the southern part of Kolkata. Our address is 62/2 G Pg H Shah Road, which is in the Kolkata 32 area. It’s near the Jadavpur side of town. We have been here for a good while now, working out of this office. It’s an old building but it serves us well enough for what we do. The street outside is always full of people and rickshaws, especially during the morning hours. We do a lot of contracting and engineering related work from this spot. Our office has that old Kolkata feel with heavy desks and plenty of paper files everywhere. We don't really go for the modern look. It’s more about getting the job done than having a pretty office. Most of our staff have been with us for years and they know the regulars who come in. We spend our days looking over plans and making sure the sites have what they need. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the billing or check on a project schedule. The tea shop around the corner is where we usually get our afternoon snacks. It’s a simple life here in the 32 district and we like being part of the local business community. We don't try to be something we aren't, just a steady company that knows how to handle its business properly. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the road a bit difficult, but we still show up and get to it.
