S. K. Industrial Corporation

It’s a bit of a climb up to the 4th floor here at Sagar Estate. We are in Unit No. 3, right on Narendra Chandra Dutta Sarani. Most days, the lift is working, but we’ve had to carry stuff up the stairs more times than I care to count. S. K. Industrial Corporation is basically our second home. We deal with a lot of industrial parts and supplies that factories around here need. The office is usually piled high with catalogs and order forms. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking if a shipment has arrived at the port yet. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but we get used to it. We aren’t a big operation, just a few of us trying to keep things organized. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, especially when we have three different orders coming in at once. We keep a kettle in the corner for when things get slow in the afternoon. People stop by to pick up small parts or just to ask about pricing for next month. It’s a lot of sitting and typing and then suddenly running around when a truck shows up downstairs. We’ve been in this building for a while now and know most of the other people on this floor. It’s just a regular workplace doing regular industrial trade every day from morning until the sun goes down.
