Rungta Mines Ltd

Our Kolkata office is tucked away at 57/1 College Street, inside the VV Niwas building. If you know the area, you know how crowded and full of books it is. It’s a very old part of the city, and our space reflects that. Rungta Mines Ltd uses this as a contact point in West Bengal. The street outside is always buzzing with students and people looking for old books. Getting through the crowds to reach the door can be a bit of a challenge some days. Inside, the ceilings are high and the walls are thick, which helps keep things a little cooler. We don’t have a lot of modern bells and whistles here. It’s just a few rooms with tables and chairs. We spend our time managing the paperwork that comes in from the different mine sites. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually get our afternoon snacks. It’s a bit of a historic vibe around here, and we like being part of the College Street atmosphere. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait for it to come back on. We aren't doing anything flashy. It's just a steady stream of work, phone calls, and ledger entries. Most of us have been working in this Kolkata branch for a long time. We know the neighbors and the local shops. It feels like a small community even though we’re part of a bigger mining company.
