Rudras Educare

Rudras Educare is based at P 46, Rashtra Guru Avenue in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata. We are located quite close to Clive House, which is a well-known historical spot around here. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads of the city. We have a decent space here with several rooms set up for different batches of students. The floors are simple tile, and we have enough desks to accommodate the local kids who come by. We have been in this location for several years. Our day usually starts with cleaning the boards and arranging the chairs. Then, around four in the afternoon, the students start trickling in. Some walk, others come on cycles. We don't have any flashy signs or corporate branding. It’s just a house that we’ve turned into a place for learning. The rooms have large windows that let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. Sometimes you can hear the birds from the trees nearby or the sound of a distant train. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the teaching and the administration. It’s a very personal way of running a business. We know all the students by their first names and often talk to their parents at the gate. We stay busy until about eight or nine at night, then we lock up and head home ourselves.
