We are Rtc Logistics Pvt Ltd, based out of Kolkata. Our office is on Matrimandir Lane, right at number 7. It's an old part of the city, pin code 700108. Working in logistics in Kolkata means you have to know the narrow lanes and the shortcuts. We spend a lot of time on the phone and looking at maps. It’s a small operation here, nothing like those giant corporate towers you see in the movies. We deal with cargo and shipping every single day. Some days are quieter than others, but usually, there's a lot of shouting and moving things around. Matrimandir Lane is where we call home. We’ve been here long enough that we know the tea stall owners and everyone on the block. We don't have a big marketing team, just us trying to get the job done correctly. It's honest work and we like being part of the local scene here. The weather gets pretty humid, and the office can feel a bit cramped when we have a lot of files piled up. But we manage just fine. We don't use any fancy slogans. We just focus on the transport side of things and making sure the clients get their stuff. It’s a lot of coordination between the warehouse and the drivers. Sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a late train, and we just deal with it as it comes. That's the life of a logistics person in Kolkata.
