It gives us some room to breathe. Our office is pretty modest, just a room with some old wooden furniture and the smell of blueprint paper. We spend most of our time out at construction sites, checking on materials and talking to the laborers. Shital is usually the one making sure everything stays on track, often spending hours on the phone with suppliers. Construction in Kolkata has its own set of challenges, especially with the narrow streets and the humidity, but we’ve been doing this long enough to know the rhythm. We aren't trying to be the biggest construction firm in India. We just like building things properly and making sure the structures we work on are solid. It is a messy job sometimes, with all the cement and dust, but it’s satisfying to see a project finally finish. We don't have a big marketing department. We just rely on the work we’ve done in the neighborhood to speak for itself.
