Royal Trading Co.

If you’ve ever been to 71 Canning Street, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s the heart of the market, and Royal Trading Co. is right in the middle of all that chaos. Every morning when I get here, the street is already packed with handcarts and people shouting. It’s a bit of a struggle just to get through the door sometimes. Our office is old, the kind of place with high ceilings and walls that have seen a lot of years. We don’t have air conditioning that works very well, so we just keep the doors open and let the ceiling fans spin. There’s always someone coming in to ask for a price or to check on a delivery. We handle a lot of different things, and the ledger books are usually piled up on the main table. It’s noisy and dusty, but there’s a certain energy to Canning Street that you don’t find anywhere else. We know most of the other traders around here, and we’ve been doing this for a long time. It isn't a place for someone who wants peace and quiet. We’re constantly on the phone or shouting to the guys in the back to bring out more stock. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like the pace. We just focus on the trading and keep things moving as fast as the market allows us to.
