Rohit Home Decors is located at No. 86/1 Sultan Alam Road. It’s a nice enough spot, though the street can get pretty crowded during the day. We have a variety of things for the house packed into our space. It’s not like those big showrooms where everything is perfectly spaced out. We have rolls of fabric, samples of wallpaper, and various hardware bits tucked into every corner. Sometimes it’s a bit of a maze to get to the back. We started this because we liked working with home interiors, and it just grew from there. People from around the neighborhood stop in to see what’s new. We don’t have a professional decorator on staff or anything; we just know what looks decent and what people usually ask for. Most of our time is spent measuring things or helping customers decide between two different shades of beige. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of looking through catalogs. Sultan Alam Road has a good vibe, and we like being part of it. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the fabric, so we are always sweeping. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just open up in the morning, see who comes in, and try to help them find what they need for their homes. It’s a small, local way to earn a living.
