Rng Papers

Rng Papers is tucked away on the ground floor of 56 Radha Bazar Street. If you know Kolkata, you know that Radha Bazar is one of those old, narrow streets where history and business are all mixed together. Our shop is easy to access since it's on the ground floor, which is a relief when we are moving heavy stacks of paper around. The street outside is almost always packed with people, trolleys, and the general hum of a busy market area. Inside, the air is a bit cooler and it smells like old paper and ink, which we’ve grown to like over the years. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just stacks of stock reaching up toward the ceiling and a couple of desks where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment comes in and we have to find space for it all. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we know the rhythms of the street—when the tea man comes by and when the crowds are at their thickest. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local business providing what people need. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but it’s our place and we know where everything is. Being in such a historic part of the city feels right for a business like ours.
