You can find us over at 214/7 S.K. Dev Road in the Chaudhary Bagan area of Lack Town. It’s a busy part of Kolkata. We operate as Rmc Readymix (India) Pvt Ltd. and we’ve been here for a good while. The neighborhood is tight, so getting the big concrete mixers through some of these roads can be a bit of a challenge for the drivers. They’re good at it, though. We don’t have a polished corporate office with air conditioning that works all the time. It’s more of a functional space where we handle the orders and keep track of the deliveries. Kolkata has its own rhythm, and we just fit into it. We talk to the local masons and the bigger contractors alike. There is no difference to us. We don’t put out big ads or try to sound like something we aren't. We just know how to mix concrete and how to get it to the site on time. Sometimes the S.K. Dev Road gets flooded during the monsoons, which makes things interesting, but we manage. We are just a group of people working in Chaudhary Bagan, making sure the building projects around here have what they need. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it for years without making a big fuss. It is a bit loud with the city sounds outside, but we just get on with it and keep the trucks moving.
