Retired

Kolkata is a city that never really stops, but here at our place, we try to keep things a bit more relaxed. We go by the name Retired. It’s funny because some people think it means we aren't working, but we’re just doing things our own way. We’re located in the 700 050 area of West Bengal. The address says Age 50, which is a bit unique, but that’s just how it’s listed on the paperwork. We’ve been around this part of Kolkata for a long time. You can hear the trams and the taxis from outside, but inside it’s mostly quiet. We don’t have a big shiny office. It’s just a space where we can sit and handle the things that need doing. There’s usually a bit of dust because of the city air, and we aren't the best at keeping everything perfectly organized. But we know where everything is. We don't use any fancy business jargon or have big meetings. It’s just a few of us. We have our tea in the afternoon and talk about what needs to be finished. We aren't trying to be the most successful business in India. We just want to stay steady. It’s a practical way to live. Being in Kolkata means you’re part of a big community, and we like that. Even if we’re just a small entity called Retired, we feel like we belong here in the 700 050 neighborhood.
